Την Τετάρτη 19 Ιουνίου και με αφορμή την επερχόμενη παγκόσμια ημέρα πρόσφυγα στις 20 του μηνός η Ομάδα της Παιδικής Προστασίας της ΑΡΣΙΣ διοργάνωσε δράση εντός του ΚΥΤ Φυλακίου σε συνεργασία με εκπροσώπους του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου Νέων Ορεστιάδας, ενός νεοσύστατου θεσμικού οργάνου με σκοπό την ευαισθητοποίηση της τοπικής κοινότητας γύρω από το προσφυγικό ζήτημα γενικότερα και την παιδική προστασία ειδικότερα.
Αρχικά, πραγματοποιήθηκε ξενάγηση των εκπροσώπων στους χώρους του ΚΥΤ. Στη συνέχεια σε συνεργασία με τους υπόλοιπους φορείς που δραστηριοποιούνται στο ΚΥΤ, όπως η ομάδα Εκπαιδευτικής Παρέμβασης της ΑΡΣΙΣ, η Γραμματεία Ασυνόδευτων Ανηλίκων, η Ύπατη Αρμοστεία του ΟΗΕ για τους πρόσφυγες και ο εντεταλμένος επιτροπείας της Μετάδρασης, πραγματοποιήθηκε διαδραστική συζήτηση με τους εκπροσώπους του δημοτικού συμβουλίου νέων, εξηγώντας το ρόλο, τη σημασία της παιδικής προστασίας και την αναγκαιότητα του υποστηρικτικού πλαισίου εντός του ΚΥΤ, απαντώντας και σε ερωτήσεις τους. Από την άλλη επεξηγήθηκε ο ρόλος του δημοτικού συμβουλίου νέων στις δράσεις της τοπικής κοινότητας και τρόποι περαιτέρω συνεργασίας.
Τέλος, πραγματοποιήθηκε βιωματικό παιχνίδι και με τη συμμετοχή των ασυνόδευτων ανηλίκων που διαμένουν στο ΚΥΤ Φυλακίου, όπου παίξαμε όλοι μαζί και μοιραστήκαμε φιλοδοξίες και όνειρα για το μέλλον, και συζητήσαμε για έννοιες, όπως αγάπη, ελευθερία, ισότητα, διαφορετικότητα. Κλείνοντας, ο κάθε συμμετέχων βάφοντας τα χέρια του με δακτυλομπογιές αποτύπωσε τις παλάμες του σε ένα πανό το οποίο έγραφε το μήνυμα “we are all different and that’s beautiful”. Τόσο οι ασυνόδευτοι ανήλικοι όσο και οι υπόλοιποι συμμετέχοντες ήταν ιδιαίτερα συμμετοχικοί και χαρούμενοι και με το τελικό μήνυμα έκλεισε μια όμορφη δράση με θετικά συναισθήματα για όλους.
Η Ομάδα Παιδικής Προστασίας της ΑΡΣΙΣ στην περιοχή του Έβρου (ΚΥΤ Φυλακίου) λειτουργεί στο πλαίσιο του έργου Supporting Unaccompanied Migrant Children at the Northern Greek Borders and Lesvos Safe Area (MERIMNA III – PROTECTION AT GREEK BORDERS), το οποίο υλοποιείται από τον Διεθνή Οργανισμό Μετανάστευσης (ΔΟΜ) IOM Greece με την υποστήριξη της Τσεχικής Δημοκρατίας.

Activity for the World Refugee Day by the ARSIS Child Protection Team in Evros region (RIC Fylakio)
On 19thJune, on the occasion of the upcoming World Refugee Day on the 20th of the month, the ARSIS Child Protection Team organized an activity in the RIC Fylakio in collaboration with representatives of the Orestiada Youth Municipal Council, which is a newly established institution aiming at raising awareness of the local community around the refugee issue in general and child protection in particular.
Firstly, the representatives were given a tour in the RIC Fylakio. Afterwards, in cooperation with the other actors in the RIC, such as the Educational Team of ARSIS, the Secretariat of Unaccompanied Minors, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the representative of METAdrasi, an interactive discussion was held with the representatives of the municipal youth council, explaining the role, the importance of child protection and the necessity of the supporting framework within the RIC and also answering their questions. On the other hand, the role of the municipal youth council in the activities at the local community and ways of further cooperation were explained.
Finally, an experiential game was held with the participation of the UMC residing in the Fylaki Prison, where we all played together and shared ambitions and dreams for the future, and discussed meanings, such as love, freedom, equality, diversity. In the end, each participant painted their hands with finger paints and imprinted their palms on a banner with the message “we are all different and that’s beautiful”. Both the UMC and the other participants were very participatory and happy, and with the final message, a beautiful activity with positive emotions for everyone closed.
