This crossborder project aims at strengthening the cooperation between Greece and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in the field of child protection and support for vulnerable social groups. Representatives of the four partners held their first official meeting on Friday 29 June in Thessaloniki, in order to jointly organize the implementation of the actions.
The project is funded by the INTERREG IPA CBC Program “Greece – The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 2014-2020”, co-funded by the European Union and National Funds of the participating countries.
The project “In4Child” will be implemented by the Greek partners in the areas of Thessaloniki, Pella, Kilkis and Serres aiming at pedagogical, psychosocial and medical support of children working on the streets, living in Roma camps or refugee camps, as well as of children crossing the border between the two partner countries.
In The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the project partners will implement actions in Pelagonia region aiming at pedagogical, psychosocial and medical support of children working on the streets, living in Roma camps and children crossing the border between the two partner countries
An important pillar of the same project is human rights education. In particular, there will be training courses for Teachers of Primary and Secondary Education with the use of the Council of Europe’s manuals, Compass & Compasito and educational interventions in schools of both countries.
