First Solidarity Centre established by Solidarity Now Opens in Thessaloniki
ATHENS, January 20, 2014—Solidarity Now, a network of people and organizations working together to help those hardest hit by the crisis in Greece, formally opened its first Solidarity Centre January 17th 2014 inThessaloniki.
The Solidarity Centre of Thessaloniki, in line with Solidarity Now’s mission, aims to support local civil society organizations and existing initiatives working to help those affected by the crisis.
The Solidarity Centre of Thessaloniki is open to all people in need. Its purpose is to serve as a hub for local NGOs to run activity from and provide services such as medical and legal assistance.
The Solidarity Centre of Thessaloniki is opened on January 2nd 2014 and is currently in a pilot phase. The Solidarity Centre hosts two well known Greek NGOs: ARSIS and PRAXIS.
