ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth is a Non-Governmental Organization established in 1992, aiming at supporting the socially vulnerable young people.
ARSIS is focused on supporting the unaccompanied children since 2006, with a network of social services and structures in Thessaloniki, Athens, Volos, Alexandroupoli and Kozani.
The provision of support for unaccompanied is intensified since the number of unaccompanied children is raising.
Lately, citizens who support unaccompanied children contact ARSIS’ Social Services, in order to get informed for matters concerning children’s legal status or their transfer to shelters, since they cannot accommodate them.
We address citizens who support refugee children living without family in Greece, and we invite them to contact and inform the Social Service in Thessaloniki, in order to ensure that minors have been registered in EKKA for forwarding their accommodation in shelters during their stay in the country and that their legal procedures have been promoted and correctly followed.
ARSIS aims at securing the unaccompanied children’s safe housing, their rights and at wide spreading of information to citizens who support them.
The Social Service for the Protection of Unaccompanied Children is at citizens’ disposal on a daily basis, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
