Partner 2: University St. Kliment Ohridski, Higher Medical School – Bitola

“St Kliment Ohridski” University – Bitola is the second oldest state University in the Republic of North Macedonia and the most important institution in the area of higher education in the south-western region of our country. UKLO is seated in Bitola, but some of the University higher-education and scientific-research units are located in several centers different than Bitola, like, Prilep, Ohrid, Skopje, Veles and Kichevo.
Since its foundation (1979), UKLO has provided higher education for over 42000 graduate students. Currently, it operates with approximately 7000 students in the system. These figures make UKLO a medium-sized, yet comprehensive higher education institution with academic offer ranging among a variety of studies in the fields of Economics, Technical Sciences and ICT, Biotechnical Sciences, Tourism, Education, Health Care, Law, Security. UKLO is composed of 12 HE units and 5 accompanying members, as principle carriers of the academic and scientific-research activities.
Efforts for constant improvement are in line with UKLO’s work not only on the education of professionals, but also on scientific research and innovation and active participation in international projects for various funding organizations and programs. In this context, UKLO shows its readiness to share the longstanding experience in writing project applications, project management and reporting of outcomes, as well as long-term sustainability of project results.

Higher Medical School Bitola is part of the University St. Kliment Ohridski since its establishment in 1988. It is the oldest institution that educates health care professionals in the country. The school is well equipped for advanced training of nurses, midwifes, laboratory analysts, physiotherapists, radiology technicians and sanitary engineers. (www.vmsb.uklo.edu.mk).

Higher Medical School – University St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola has highly empowered human resources, trained and experienced in all medical and health care disciplines, reach educational and research experience and good networking. The involvement of the teaching staff in several EU founded projects enriched the administrative and overall institutional capacity for project management. The mobility of students, teachers and researchers is offered within the framework of several different international programs.

Partner 3: UNESCO Club of Serres

Since its establishment in 1995, Club Unesco for Serres has participated in several mobility and EVS projects comprising of exchanges, seminars and trainings and has a long experience in both holding and participating in workshops and trainings.

Its main area of interest involves awareness-raising activities targeted to students and young adults, focused on multiculturalism as well as the promotion of European identity and youth empowerment.

Through our activities the organization provide support and know-how to local actors such as the Municipality of Serres, schools, academic institutes, the local Museum of Natural History, etc.

Activities include:

– Youth information Centre providing information and opportunities for young people
– Youth empowerment activities including educational programs, launch of campaigns, trainings
– Events/campaigns celebrating International and European Days, such as the International Volunteering Day, Human Rights’ Day, the World Aids Day, the World Day of Philosophy for Inclusive Societies, World Week for Science and Peace, World Day against Fascism, World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, World Cultural Heritage day etc.
– Campaigns on awareness-raising on: SayNo-UNiTE to End Violence Against Women, FARE-UEFA-UNESCO: Say No to Racism, e-campaign for World Illiteracy Day,
– Educational programs for schools on environmental issues awareness-raising
– Prize awarding to schools for participating in UN and Unesco Campaigns
– Launch of National Contests for schools for the promotion of International and European Years under the auspices of Greek Ministry of Education
– Participation in IPA European Territorial Cooperation Program Interreg Greece – Republic of North Macedonia on delivering pre-school alternative services on health and education
– Inclusion activities for refugees in cooperation with PRAXIS Serres

Partner 4: LIFESTART- Growing and learning together

Since 1998 Lifestart association has been working on the field of developing civil society, especially in the field of education. It is especially devoted to the development of rural areas and Roma community where it mobilizes Roma people through numerous projects and activities. In the community it enjoys success and authority and all projects comes as a product of a long-term work and insight of the problems of the Roma people.

The association has great potential of activists with long working experience with different types of families regarding nationality, number of people in the family, social status etc.

The previous activities have been realized in cooperation with large number of partners, associates and institutions who work in the field of children’s education.

All members and activists of Lifestart are experts in the field of Pedagogy, Psychology and Andragogy.
