In-kind support for UMC residing in RIC Fylakio<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In RIC Fylakio, ARSIS\u2019s team is responsible for organizing and implementing the distribution of in-kind materials like clothes, shoes, slippers, hygiene items, linen, bags-backpacks, and medicines to all the UMC that reside there. So, during March 2024 the child protection team provided in-kind support to the UMC. The items were distributed to the minors after they arrived in the RIC, as they had few personal belongings and no shoes or other personal hygiene items. In addition, due to the outbreak of skin diseases and the lack of provision of the above items from the RIC, the distribution by our team was deemed necessary for the minors to take care of their hygiene and avoid the aggravation of infections, as well as to feel better during their stay in the RIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ARSIS Child Protection Team in Evros region (RIC Fylakio) operates under the program Merimna III – Supporting unaccompanied migrant children at Greek Borders project, which is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Greece with the support of the Ministry of Justice and Security of the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
