On October 7, 2023, the “RoAD to Adulthood” program team of #ARSIS<\/a> held a celebration with unaccompanied minors, young adults (18-21 years old), and the mentors of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration began with a discussion between the mentors and the young adults participating in the mentoring program. They discussed what they each got from their mentoring relationship, and the support from the program professionals and recalled funny stories they shared. In addition, unaccompanied children had the opportunity to ask questions of our mentor couples. Then with the help of John Bouzoukis (BZKS art<\/a>) and the kids, we made great graffiti on canvases. The celebration continued with food and lots of dancing! Children and young people took with them caskets for their new school year created by NAOMI Workshop Thessaloniki<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project RoAD to Adulthood – Mentorship to Help UAMs Navigate Adulthood<\/a> is a European project, co-funded by the Asylum Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union European Commission<\/a>, aiming at supporting unaccompanied<\/p>\n\n\n\n

children and young people (former #UAMs<\/a>) in their transition towards adulthood and integration. Is implemented by four organizations of which three are in frontline countries, ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth<\/a> in Greece, Defence for Children International Italia<\/a> in Italy, Punt de Refer\u00e8ncia<\/a> in Spain, and Mentoring Europe<\/a> in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
