EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS –\nARSIS – 2021 MONTHLY\nREPORT 4 – Giusy <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nChristmas holidays are over and we are back to work with a new year and new\nresolutions! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Covid\nrestrictions are almost over, shops in the city have been opened again and it seems\nto be almost back to normality.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Finally we\nare back to work twice in a week in the House of Arsis in Oraiokastro and the\nwork excites me a lot because I am in love with small children.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My colleague and flatmate Ilaria and I are\ntrying to give everything we can, despite the barriers dictated by the pandemic\nand the social distance. In addition to the pre-established activities, nothing\nprevents us from transmitting something human to them! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the\nmost important thing for me, which I do not want to miss.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The child in\nthe photo is one of the newcomers and he is the one I am most fond of. The\nfirst day he arrived I found him apparently at ease, already included in the\ngroup of the little ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is very\nlively and also very affectionate, and when he greets me hugging me it warms my\nheart! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also met\nolder girls, aged 16 and 17 who for me are the most \u201cdemanding\u201d because they\nare fully aware of their situation, with whom I try to have long conversations\nand help deal with their shortcomings. It’s psychologically hard work but I\nwouldn’t see myself anywhere else in the world right now <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope we\ncan return to total normality soon, I hope before the end of our project to\nmake the most of this social work and give, at the same time, the best of\nourselves.  <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
