there are (16) accommodation places in three apartments in the broader area of Thessaloniki for vulnerable women asylum seekers and their underaged children. The duration of the program is (12) months with a possibility of extension. The project addresses the lack of adequate accommodation places and specific services for vulnerable women and their children. The program is orientated towards vulnerable women asylum seekers, who are singles or single-parents and live under precarious conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reception and the placement of the first women asylum seekers beneficiaries and their children of the program \u201cDIAPLOUS\u201d of ARSIS- Association for the Social Support was implemented on Friday, 18\/09\/2020. In specific, the program offers psychological, psychosocial, legal support and job counselling through individual and group sessions (with direct translation). On one hand, the fundamental purpose of the program is to <strong>empower<\/strong> the beneficiaries and facilitate them to develop an inner sense of control in order to deal better with difficulties and the distress which derives from their vulnerability and their past traumatic experiences.
