\nSHELTER FOR THE TEMPORARY STAY OF MINORS<\/h4>\n
The shelter is located in Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki and it was established in 2007,\u00a0\u00a0in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour,Social\u00a0Welfare and Social Solidarity.\u00a0The shelter is addressed to children and teenagers who are mistreated or neglected and to children who are victims of trafficking and exploitation. The shelter temporarily accommodates boys and girls aged from 5 to 18 years old.
\nThe shelter aims to:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Attend to the immediate need for shelter of children that are in danger.
\n\u2022 To provide the necessary time to the relevant authorities to explore and find the most appropriate permanent solution for the care of the child.<\/p>\n

Provided services:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Temporary accommodation emphasizing on covering the psychosocial needs of children.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Design of a temporary support plan for each child targeting on psychosocial support, education, in the development of social skills and in the empowerment of children.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Supporting and preparing the inclusion of the child in social or family settings and facilitating transfer to other children protection systems, always based on the best interest of the child.<\/p>\n

More specifically, the following are provided:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Full provision of food, clothing apparel and pharmaceutical support.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Inclusion in the educational and social environment.
\n\u2022 Creating the link between volunteers and children in order to improve the social skills of the children.
\n\u2022 participation in social events
\n\u2022 counseling support for families
\n\u2022 support for foster care families
\n\u2022 legal support<\/p>\n
