The lockdown month
November started with bad news. The government of Thessaloniki decided to start a new lockdown for 14 days and then, was the Greek government who decided to get into a lockdown for all the country. This virus is hindering everything.
The streets were completely empty. All the traffic noise, which was characteristic of the city, had disappeared.
I had to stop going to the House of Arsis because 2 people from there tested positive by the end of October. Then we decided to start online activities, so I continued with the online English classes for the girls. At least, I could see some kids and talk to them for a while. It is very nice to be able to talk to them and see that they are doing well.
Now we are looking for new activities for the kids to try to make the lockdown more bearable for them and for us. Nobody knows when this is going to end and, in the meantime, we do what we can to have fun.
