Στις 9-10 Μαΐου πραγματοποιήθηκε στην Valetta της Μάλτας το συνέδριο “Uncovering Vulnerabilities in Migration and Human Trafficking” στο πλαίσιο του έργου CRiTERIA (Comprehensive data-driven Risk and Threat Assessment Methods for the Early and Reliable Identification, Validation and Analysis of migration-related risks – Grant Agreement No. 101021866). Σκοπός του συνεδρίου ήταν να χρησιμεύσει ως διαδραστικό φόρουμ για συζήτηση των πιο δύσκολων προβλημάτων που αφορούν μετανάστευση και την εμπορία ανθρώπων. Πρωταρχικός στόχος του συνεδρίου ήταν να παρουσιαστούν καινοτόμες προσεγγίσεις για την αναγνώριση και την αντιμετώπιση των προβλημάτων που αντιμετωπίζουν οι μετανάστες, προκειμένου να βελτιωθούν οι τρέχουσες πολιτικές και οι ανθρωπιστικές πρωτοβουλίες που απευθύνονται ειδικά σε αυτούς, και η ΑΡΣΙΣ, με τη μακρόχρονη εμπειρία της στη διαχείριση δεδομένων των δεδομένων εκτίμησης κινδύνων και απειλών, συμμετείχε στο διάλογο.
Ως εκ τούτου, εκτός από τις μελέτες σχετικά με τις τρέχουσες ελλείψεις, οι διοργανωτές ζήτησαν συνεισφορές σχετικά με τις καλές πρακτικές και τα εργαλεία που συμβάλλουν θετικά στη διεύρυνση της γνώσης στον τομέα αυτό.
On 9-10 May the conference “Uncovering Vulnerabilities in Migration and Human Trafficking” took place in Valetta, Malta, in the framework of the CRiTERIA project (Comprehensive data-driven Risk and Threat Assessment Methods for the Early and Reliable Identification, Validation and Analysis of migration-related risks – Grant Agreement No. 101021866). The purpose of the conference was to serve as an interactive forum for discussion of the most difficult and cutting-edge problems pertaining to migration and human trafficking. The conference's primary goal was to find innovative approaches to recognizing and addressing the unique vulnerabilities faced by migrants in order to improve current policies and humanitarian initiatives specifically targeting them, and ARSIS, with its long experience in data management of risk and threat assessment data, participated in the dialogue to promote the developing tool. Therefore, in addition to studies on current gaps and enduring issues, the organizers are seeking contributions on good practices and tools that positively contribute to expanding knowledge in this area.
